Yup! The “moneyers” as a very important job and were held responsible for the oversight and quality of the coins produced. The dies used to actually strike the coins during this period all came from London and were carefully accounted for at all times

Isn’t that remarkable! I really love the whole fractional coins of the time for the craftsmanship needed to produce such amazing coins. And think each of these farthings were struck by hand. A massive amount of work
