Interestingly, without further description needed this 4th of July, to me…this pretty much sums up the ethos and ongoing expectation of our country’s current leadership.

Frederick Trump came to the US an unaccompanied 16 year old illegal alien in 1885. He did not become a US citizen until 1892. He died in 1918 in the Spanish flu pandemic.

Trump’s grandfather would have been a candidate for deportation by his grandson’s administration today.

These three books that I read a while ago have been helpful to me in processing what we are currently going through. Strongly suggest to those still keeping an open mind: Democracy In Chains, The Color Of Law, The Sum Of Us.

Oh my gosh, what an incredible Hill Country walk we had tonight. I think I’ll go have me a New York Strip steak.

Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter
Nicki Minaj is not considered a citizen in the U.S. FromTrinidad & Tobago as an illegal immigrant when she was a little girl. Since then, she's paid millions of dollars in taxes but has yet to receive her citizenship. Kick her out?

The S. African actress Charlize Theron moved to the US as a teenager. Deported for overstaying her work visa, she was able to regain authorization and return to the United States becoming a US citizen in 2007. Would her re-entry to the US have been possible in today’s “get them out” environment?

Salma Hayek admitted to being in the U.S. illegally for a brief period of time. After more than 20 years of living in the country, she became an American citizen in 2013. Her daughter Valentina was born in 2007. If birthright citizenship ends, today Valentina would be a candidate for deportation.

Kash Patel, arrogant nominee for FBI director. Born in 1980 in New York to Indian immigrant parents. It’s unknown if Kash’s parents ever obtained American citizenship.

Today, ReTrumplicans believe if his parents did not obtain US citizenship before his birth then he’s a candidate for deportation.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s immigrant parents did not become American citizens until four years after he was born in Florida in 1971.

He would not have been allowed US citizen status if the proposed policy against birthright citizenship had been in place in 1971.

Hypocrisy 101?

Meet previously illegal immigrant Elon Musk.
He broke our immigration laws, took advantage of the benefits our country extends, and yet now supports the ruthless, heartless round up of immigrants that the new president is inflicting on our country.

Renee Zellweger was born in 1969 in the US to Parents who were not US citizens.

Our president’s executive order is not retroactive and only applies to those born more than 30 days after it was issued. Otherwise, she would be a candidate for deportation.

When Neil Young first came to the United States from Canada he was an undocumented immigrant without a work visa. He would have been easily snagged and deported in the ruthless, heartless round up of immigrants that the new president has begun to inflict upon our country.
