Definitely should try these, as well. My sister bakes wedding cakes. I asked her once why her cakes are so good. She gave a two word answer - more butter.

I should add that I am not a pro baker, I learned this by trial and error, and it works well for me. Hopefully it’s helpful!

For a recipe that is coming out too dry, I add a tablespoon of molasses per dozen cookies, mixed into the wet ingredients before combining with the dry ingredients.
