Naval and military history, wargaming implementation and scale model construction. Still a social media newcomer so excuse erratic posts!
Big thanks to @tomjmegan.bsky.social for #FestiveTankChallenge. Still some weathering and stowage to be done but I'm done for this year! Great entries and Happy New Year to all.

Close run thing to finish on time. Hoping disc camo works on the superstructure. Factory finish may be OK but hope to emulate some of the fantastic finishes seen on this feed. The Bergepanzer looks more like having had an accident with an oil can! #FestiveTankChallenge #FestiveTankChallange24

Track day, with the fine adjustment hammer to hand. Thank goodness for You Tube videos, hammer not needed and one track done today. That's it until post Boxing Day, Merry Christmas all!

First blood to the Brummbar - now it's personal!

Well, undercoating the Bergepanzer iv was fine. However the Brummbar running gear and starting to use photoetch for almost the first time in 1 72 scale may not be one of my better ideas. Hopefully it'll dry OK overnight! #FestiveTankChallenge #FestiveTankChallenge2024.

#FestiveTankChallenge choice here, a rather nice Bergepanzer IV from MarDev Minatures (2 pieces!) and/or the Brummbar with somewhat more than 2 pieces, photoetch and zimmerit......
I guess it will depend how busy Christmas gets!

OK, here goes! Inspiration from the IWM photographer of a Churchill MkV supporting the 53rd Division on 25/02/45. My 1970s Airfix Churchill is my personal benchmark. Finished yesterday and quite pleased with the result. Will be a support option when I play Chain of Command! #FestiveTankChallenge
