By eroding trial by jury, the government is cementing its legacy as a bulldozer of our human rights.

This is the behaviour of authoritarian regimes!

The right to a jury trial is a fundamental tenet of democracy. We cannot let it be destroyed.

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees.

No refugee underfunded a school.

No refugee closed a hospital.

No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled.

We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

Just received news that 27 people have been arrested in Parliament Square under the Terrorism Act 2000 for holding signs saying "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action".
This is real police state behaviour.

On Andy Hinchcliffe’s birthday, a chance to remember this goal at QPR.

So much to appreciate here. Not least the kit, the whip on the free-kick, and the glorious state of that Loftus Road playing surface.

Just look at it. Like a fucking snooker table.

The President of the United States welcome a leader wanted by the ICC and officially endorsed ethnic cleansing.

Now would be a good time for our government to defend international law.

If they won’t say it, we will: Palestinians aren’t going anywhere.

Wow. Imagine the shock for the Daily Mail when it finds out Tory plans were for fines of £5k - later reduced to £3k - for each missed heat pump sale. What Ed Miliband has done is to reduce that to £500. As @torstenbell.bsky.social says today Headline should read “Miliband slashes Tory boiler tax”

A lot of talk again about need for economic growth but no mention that the OBR report the government is quoting from says Brexit is on course to cut UK trade by a staggering 15% - a huge reduction in the country’s potential economic performance. I’m sure Sundays politics shows will be all over it
In a significant Intervention Bank of England governor said this week that Brexit has undermined the UK economy. @skynews.com.web.brid.gy didn’t think that was important enough to raise with the Government Minister this morning. I disagree. If you do too share this report

The ICC’s arrest warrants are long overdue.

The Prime Minister & Foreign Secretary must immediately endorse this decision. That is the bare minimum.

Will the UK government now, finally, honour its international obligations to prevent genocide and end all arms sales to Israel?
