Tracy, Widmark, Lancaster, Garland, Schell, Dietrich and Clift did it better. Call me old fashioned but I don’t recall Göring had an Aussie accent.

DDR was a major theme at today’s museum visit. The ‘38’ was a popular steam loco on tours. I first travelled with it on a Dresden Railway anniversary in 1983. The diesel is from a class dubbed ‘Ludmilla’ because of their construction in Soviet Russia.

#DDR - Magdeburg 1984 - East German railway enthusiasts were very helpful in advising which trains to snap. A ‘Ludmilla’ hauling a military train - quick snap & the camera was back in the bag. I got fined in Leipzig. Hoping to put this collection of photos in a book with @benskipper.bsky.social
