Seljalandsfoss in the south of Iceland, a famous waterfall you can even walk behind. Taken in summer when it almost never gets dark, very early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Close up of Svartifoss waterfall showing the impressive natural basalt columns formed by volcanic activity. Hengifoss in the east of Iceland flows down a spectacular vertical wall with differt colored layers of rock. Háifoss is the third highest waterfall in Iceland with a height of 122m. I am not much of a wildlife photographer (I admire the patience of those who are!) but ibex, the kings of the mountains, are an exception because they are not shy at all. Here is a proud male example in its natural habitat.

Capra ibex are the kings of the Alps, living high up in rough mountainous terrain. Having almost no natural predators comes in handy for the photographer as they dont flee when approached carefully. Here is a proud and full grown male example looking down from a cliff. Did you know its age can be measured by the size of its horn (this one is at least 12 years old)?
