That's a great piece. I'd add that it's not just garbage in, garbage out, but the dearth of liberal arts educations (or, the lack of interest in them) means that our collective digestive system can't even identify that it's garbage.

It's too bad—they're outstanding movies, and I think the message (extraction economies = bad; cultural imposition =
bad; ...) is all too relevant right now.
