I love this hairy bindweed - Calystegia x pulchra. I don’t see it very often at all - always feel thrilled when I see this lightly striped pink beauty

I’d really like a proper id for this large bindweed. The first two photographs were in a garden in Aberdeen and the other in LeightonBuzzard. Is it Calystegia pulchra or a pink form of C. sepium or C. silvatica. I absolutely love it. @wildflowerhour.bsky.social #pinkbindweed #wildflower

I wanted this to be a small blue but I think it’s probably a Holly Blue except that it was exceptionally tiny - I don’t think I’ve seen a blue butterfly that small before Fluttering in garden vegetation next to the canal in Apsley near Hemel Hempstead #bluebutterfly help with Id would be appreciated

@deborahmeaden.bsky.social can you please bring your influence to bear on the supermarkets. This is the ONLY solid shampoo bar offering in Waitrose. (Tucked away on bottom shelf) These shops need to buck their ideas up and you’re the woman to give them a shove #climatecrisis

Catkins showing both male and female flowers- also seen hawthorn flowers, a brimstone butterfly and heard a song thrush giving his all at dawn today (in direct competition with a wren) - spring is here 💚
March 4, 2025 at 4:58 PM
I saw my first butterfly, this year, today - a male brimstone fluttering too fast to get a photo. This shot is from a couple of years ago just incase you don’t know what a Brimstone 🦋 looks like.
