Ever since baby boy 2 came, my wife and I have been trying to find ways to have one on one time with our 3yo so that he knows just how special he is even as he takes on the new role of big brother. He and I had the most amazing “Chocolate Milk Date,” this morning.

There are times in the craziness of life when it can be hard to remember to savor little moments. But this morning, home with with my sick 3 year old, I am getting to snuggle a boy who snuggles less and less and enjoying watching “Frotty Snowman” on repeat. It’s a very good morning.

Gorgeous! All of the Penguin reprints are winners in my opinion but these two will always jockey for number one spot for me as they were my gateway drug into spy fiction

While it’s been a bit of a slog at work this week, I committed to myself, whether it’s 100 or 1000 words, just show up. Butt in seat. Thats not something I’ve always done when life gets crazy. So while this week has not been my most prolific, I showed up. And I’m proud of that.
