MGM certainly had the budgets. I think the Warner Brothers movies have lasted better though. Their stars were less glamourous, but there was no doubting their innate talent...

I am a portrait painter. All the top stars; Cagney, Cary Grant, Bogart etc. Nobody buys paintings in this anachronistic, digital age. Lol! The late Drew Struzan was my idol. He said when he couldn't afford materials he would draw on tissue paper or anything...such was his NEED for expression.
