I’m proud to research Social Identity in Sport, and to teach these applied concepts to my students.

Yesterday, at the final whistle in Liverpool, the commentary stated:

“For their people, with their people”.

Togetherness is powerful.

The study investigates the influence of social identity leadership on social support between teammates via team identification and felt understanding.

On the day a convicted felon, insurrectionist and rapist is inaugurated as President of America, I celebrate the life, teachings and philosophy of Dr King. On a day when the world is a darker place, I choose the light.
