Great, but don't forget Trump a good part of Russia's reserves would inevitably find its way to US arms manufacturers and they can help Trump see the light and better sooner than later.

4. US arms makers need to be on board on this so Trump sees the light.

I can't think of anything more just and with a little luck the taking of it could stop Russia in its tracks and the funds can be redirected to rebuilding Ukraine.

3. Importantly, using the 300 billion fits with Trump's policy: Europe takes responsibility for its own defence. Further a large proportion is likely to find its way the US and European armament manufacturers and European budgets can afford it as they are not paying.

2. When there's misbehaviour on the scale of Russia's if there is a legal issue then make new law. That's what the law is for. If a society is threatened, and with Russia the threat is to the society of nations, then the practice or law of the society needs to be adjusted to address the threat.
