And leaders who are morally compromised and willing to break the law to get what they want, then brag about it

Again, neurotypical is *not* the opposite of autistic. It isn't used that way, it isn't defined that way, and it *certainly* isn't a value judgement.

By way of comparison, why do you use the term "autistic"? Why do you feel the need to slot those people into a category? Why other them?
November 2, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Furthermore, "allistic" is not the same thing. Neurotypical means neurologically typical, based upon statistical observations. Allistic means "not autistic".
November 2, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Please explain why *any* single term used to describe a statistical cohort wouldn't need to be altered if the neurological makeup of all of humanity changed *dramatically*. I'm sorry that "typical" offends your sensibilities, but it has absolutely no inherent qualitative aspect to it.

Your understanding of the term is flawed if you think it has much to do with psychology. Neurotype relates to psychology in the same way that height relates to basketball. Height does not guarantee any degree of success, just as being neurotypical does not guarantee a certain set of traits.

One does not preclude the other.

I mean, they definitely are. That's like saying nobody is typical height.

Right, yeah. But progressives and myopia control lenses, etc. are definitely expensive for a reason

Frames, yes.

Rear: Except my doctor but what does she know?
November 1, 2025 at 7:54 PM
It's neurotypical, not neuronormal for that exact reason.

Proof that sometimes even broken clocks are right

The fastest reduction of poverty and inequality in recorded history was in the USSR under Stalin. All famines ended. 2nd-fastest growing economy in the 20th Century. Universal health care. Doubled life expectancy. Smashed the Nazis. Near-zero unemployment. All this according to US stats.

If you stopped looping the goddamned Rogers ads, you'd retain a lot more!
October 31, 2025 at 5:34 AM
Also: when you're being condescending for the narcissistic supply but tell yourself you're actually being bluntly honest
October 31, 2025 at 5:29 AM
Half of that was Rogers ads. Half of THAT was that goddamned one with the Asian family dancing. The rest is their valiant attempt to make me hate Keanu.
October 31, 2025 at 5:25 AM
They need them, they're a measure of security. That need is key to capitalism sucking ass.
October 30, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Ugh. Cancel it already, my god.
October 30, 2025 at 11:25 PM
Well, no. But that's definitely a take.
October 30, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Now publish it in a real paper!

I was that guy. No longer! Didn't realize it was the Brewers imploding after dominating so hard in the regular season, and not the Dodgers rising above.
