Back from a really nice day at Klub K9 in Nottingham. Been a while since I've been at a pup event, and brain tried to throw spanner in the works, but really helped recharge me and get me back into the swing of things. Shall definitely go again at some point.

Not exactly "Sunday evening wind down, got work in the morning" sort of music, but there you go. Seems to work for my brain somehow. Seem to be drifting from metal to more hardcore / neocrust waters of late, so any suggestions welcome.

Stack of OSDM-worship bands out there these days, but can't recall any doing it as well as this. Great mix of Nihilist, Carnage and Autopsy that sounds like it came through my letterbox on a TDK C90 in 1990. Artwork also on point!

Lovely little bit of R.D.P does E.N.T (find out what it means to me...)

Cleaning up a cat accident this morning...

Me - "I might be a silly dog, but at least I don't poop on the carpet"

Husband - "No, you just go in your underwear"

All in jest, but also reading it as using nappy in that way whilst he's about the place isn't the problem my brain tries to make it.

Work rant...

So tiring to be the person who finds issues caused by errors and lack of control elsewhere, only to then have the people managing those areas pressuring me to implement a fix or explain to their seniors what the problem is. How about no? I found it, but you own it.

Not sure what I love more about this - Adam Riches as Sean Bean ("Britain's muddiest actor") or Sean Lock breaking Jimmy Carr.

Back from very enjoyable (if cold) five days in Vienna for husband's birthday. Nice place and loads of public transport. U-bahn feels very like subsurface lines in London. Karlsplatz up there with Chatalet in Paris for confusing the living hell out of non-locals. Vegan schnitzel actually a thing.

Have a variety of possible route choices from office back to Euston, but tonight was one of those times where every decision I made was wrong, to the point it just became funny. Broken escalators, service disruption signalling issues meant it took an HOUR just to get to Euston!

I generally enjoy my job, but the nature of bits of it (VAT control) means I tend to find myself in the role of "Bad Cop" quite a bit, as I'm the one who finds errors that have evaded control upstream of my function.

Have never cared a jot for fashion or having a "look", but I've just purchased some ABDL nappies purely because they're the same colour as one of my pup hoods and I wanted to co-ordinate. Ha!

Saw Shit-Faced Shakespeare production of Hamlet last night. Probably not for purists, but very enjoyable. Also had an acoustic version of Metallica's "One" as transition music at one point, so bonus marks for that.

By my reckoning, there are about six million bands who all sound exactly like this, but still, this is enjoyable.

Nice moment at gig tonight. Gig was modern melodic metalcore. Not my immediate go to, but bands were very good, energy was good and very enjoyable. Walked into front bar after gig ended just as DJ sequed from "I am the Law" into "Peace Sells". Felt both amusing and poignant. 40 years of my life!

In office three days this week, and all kinds of train delays every day. Northern Line has been utterly broken for last few days, and tonight's 51 minute journey home from Euston crawled to Leighton Buzzard, sat there for 30 minutes, eventually end up 76 minutes late. Fun.

As seen from office window this afternoon. I almost admire the low key "I've also got a helicopter" boast. Either that or Chris Barrie is doing exceptionally well for himself.

No, PowerPoint, I don't want to "turn off design suggestions until you restart PowerPoint", I want you to leave me the fuck alone unless I specifically ask you. Only on planet AI could "ok, we'll harass you marginally less" be deemed an acceptable user option. Less Co-Pilot, more Stalker.
