Daphine Pooyak is a traditional teacher and cultural presenter from Nakota Cree Sweetgrass First Nation in Saskatchewan. She is also an accomplished artist and designer. I had the privilege of photographing her in my studio the other day. She is a pillar of strength, knowledge and so talented. ❤️

Great long awaited studio session with Red Bear. I am thankful to him not only for his words of wisdom, but also for bringing along some amazing people who were also looking for portraits. More to come.

Well, I haven't really posted anything anywhere for a while, so I thought maybe I would just turn to bluesky to post yet another image of Emma in my favourite setting for photos lit by window light. Thank you for looking.

I recently had a family session that was forced indoors by the torrential winter rains we get here on the north coast. I'm so happy with this unanticipated result!

I have been doing a mentorship for indigenous youth in a photography program in my community for some years now. This photo of yours truly was taken by a 16 year old new to the program with minimal instruction. One AD200 inserted into a 30 inch modifier with a grid.
