I fear you may be correct. Personally I think that within the next 5-10years franchise cricket is all we’ll have. The way is being paved now, cricket in the Olympics & once T20 gets a hold in the US, it’s what investors & broadcasters want, societal trends & money rule

Agreed.. but they will need assistance from ICC. It’s a wholly inequitable situation currently when the big 3 BCCI, CA & ECB are taking 70%+ of world cricket revenues. Similar is happening in the mens game West Indies as an example rich get richer poor get poorer

Yes the franchise circus doesn’t help & yes different players require different approaches one size doesn’t fit all that’s where the top coaches earn their money but in Issy’s case I think her time at B’ham Pheonix ruined her because of the mantra to get her bowl 70mph

Agree really hope that they leave Davina to develop & mature naturally with the right support & ‘coaching’ she could be a superstar hope she doesn’t go the way of another teenage talent Issy Wong completely ruined by analysts & coaches trying to get her to bowl 70mph let natural talent flourish

Have to get used to it.. we will be talking more about the officials than the players this season... they know the laws but never played the game
