There's a nice stretch across the hills along the M62 as you head past the county border line into Yorkshire and cross the bridge next to the reservoir. My favourite part of the M62 (that and seeing the word Liverpool on roadsigns when driving back home ❤️)

Took nearly 40 mins offline before I could face another call. Got zero support from my manager, or from HR, whose only advice was maybe look for another job 🙄 agency staff were royally crapped on at every opportunity

But nothing except an engineer visit was good enough because as an on call doctor nothing but a working landline would suffice. He ended the call hoping my mum or gran would suffer a heart attack because he couldn't answer his phone to deal with that emergency.

I had a doctor call me up, crying blue murder because I couldn't get an engineer out at 9pm to fix his phone line. Short of driving to him in the middle of nowhere and fixing it myself, I tried EVERYTHING to help him out, even offering to bend the rules with 2nd line to get him partially reconnected

And of the many jobs I've worked, that was the only job that made me consider driving off a bridge on route to avoid going into work. I don't feel surprised that those in the call centres give the impression that they don't care. During my time there, I was never given any reason to either

All benefits and support structures were available to VM staff and Telewest staff. But nothing for agency. So when we dealt with aggressive and abusive callers L,R & C across a 12hr shift, we had bugger all for support, bar one severely overworked HR person. The amount of stress was insane

I had a big rant about R*form the other day, screaming into the void that every one who voted for them,watch carefully what goes on in the US because that is what is going to happen here if they get into power. And I had a bot like it within seconds! The bots have developed a conscience!🤣

I'll take one legitimate like over the several spambots liking every other post. Oddly though, I've noticed recently that even the bots are becoming rather anti-fascist judging by some of the accounts liking my posts on threads 🤣

I gave up on FB on NYE purely for personal reasons as I wanted to wean off social media for my mental health. Deffo picked a good time to go. Same with X, only kept that for school updates where my kid goes, they've closed their accounts cos of the Nazi space wanker so that can get to fuck too

My main problem with Amazon is the only films I want to watch are the ones I have to pay extra for. Them and netflix for about 98% of the time never have the film I want to watch. We essentially sold off our dvd collections over the years to pay someone to rent them back to us at a higher price

There's a difference between a desire to do what their predecessors *couldn't* do, and doing what their predecessors *wouldn't* do. They need to focus less on the former and prioritise the latter for the benefit of the UK!
