Hi everyone! My name is Phil. I am a photographer based in Leipzig, Germany 🇩🇪🥨 who loves capturing concerts, street, sports and travel photography. 📸

Excited to share my work with you all and connect with fellow creatives —drop by and say hi! What’s your favorite kind of photography?
I’ve reached a point in my photography where I don’t need others’ approval to know if I like an image. I shoot for the joy of it, not for likes or validation. It’s about expressing myself freely. Don't get me wron I’m always happy if my work gets a reaction from you!

Not gonna lie, as a photographer who likes to shoot more than one specific genre it's hard to create an aesthetic feed these days.

After I updated the software of my drone it was set to take images in JPG. Didn't noticed until I got home. The image fell apart while editing. Guess I have to go and try again.. meh

3 years + and I didn't find the perfect camera bag for me. Any recommendations?

I'm always torn between using a fixed-lens camera or an interchangeable one. For work, I go with the flexibility of interchangeable lenses, but for personal projects, having options makes it tough to choose a lens for the day.

I've been following a 5-minute rule lately. When I enter a scene I like, I stick around for 5 minutes to see what happens. If there's nothing interesting happening within 5 minutes, I move on. Otherwise, I feel like I'm rushing and missing opportunities.

I've been having a hard time lately balancing work for my clients and my own projects. Feels like my creativity is draining. Any advice?

A friend just said that photography has become my identity. Honestly, I can't think of a better compliment.

That feeling when you hand your new camera to someone else for the first time.

I started naming and describing the shots I took and like. What do you think about:

“Perfect Shot’s Pressure”
Skateboarding keeps its rebellious vibe, but now it’s also about likes. A skater midair, focused on the trick and how it’ll look online.

How do you explain what makes a photo good to someone who doesn’t really know anything about photography? I feel like I end up talking about things like ISO and aperture and people just look at me blankly.

Please non photographers do not ask if someone's a “professional photographer" - It might lead to a personal crisis.

Started naming and describing the shots I took and like. What do you think about:

“Little Italy”
A well-dressed man walks past an Italian restaurant, holding a mysterious frame. His suit and hat suggest he’s a big shot, and as he moves, you can’t help but wonder who he is and what he’s up to.”

Does anyone else spend more time organizing their photos than editing them? I always find myself sorting through everything before I even start the real work. lol

I started naming and describing the shots I took and like. What do you think about:

“Student’s Journey”
A student sits in a tram, a box full—everything he owns. It’s a move many students know well, navigating life with limited resources. It’s more than just relocation—it’s a step into independence.

Idk about you, but there are some places I need to go over and over again. I'm still waiting for that shot in my mind to happen.

I started naming and describing the shots I took and like. What do you think about:

“Bitterness of Experience”
The kid on the tram holds the glass, gazing at a distant Ferris wheel in awe. The world is still full of magic.

Does anyone else ever tell themselves that they're just going to edit right after the shoot, only to suddenly realize they have hundreds of photos and can't decide which one is best? And then they don't edit them for weeks..?

I started naming and describing the shots I took and like. What do you think about:

“A Moment Between Us”
In silence, close together, their hoods pulled up against the wind. No words needed—just shared presence. Maybe they’ve been here before, maybe they never will again.

If only someone had told me that the life of a photographer is that at some point, you become "the photographer friend," and they hand you their phone because they think you can make any camera take great photos.. 🙃

I started naming and describing the shots I took and liked. What do you think about:

"Echoes of the Forgotten"
In a train window's reflection, two figures: one standing, the other sitting in quiet struggle. It reflects the unnoticed battles of life—drugs, poverty, alcohol, fading into urban life.

While some photographers scout locations, plan every shot, and wait for the perfect conditions, I just go out without any plan.

Probably the reason why I mess up so many shots. 😂

I started naming and describing the shots I took and liked. What do you think about this one?

"On her way home"
A woman walks alone at night, her silhouette full of vulnerability. A man stands above her on a staircase, his presence adding an unsettling weight to the quiet tension.

Photography is weird, right? Sometimes, you get a great shot while just casually walking around. Other times, you stand in the same spot for hours, waiting.

Are you the type to just walk around and take pictures, or do you prefer to stand in one spot and wait for something interesting to happen?
