Too many stories in Ireland have gone unheard. Many a lot like this one. Acclaimed Poet Damian Gorman and Master Uilleann Piper Leonard Barry give it voice through poetry and music – a stunning performance of courage, resilience & hope. 🗓️ Fri 19 Sep 2025 irishculturalcentre.co.uk/event/b-o-y-...

Imagine being this author, seeing your article and then seeing that your organisation has so little faith in your ability to write that it prompts readers to AISloppify your carefully chosen words into a couple of dreary paragraphs.

Parliamentary Pudding Club ventured outside the Estate walls for today's pud. Whilst tasty, it lacked three important details:
1. Custard
2. A table around which we could all convene
3. The venerable @fantasticlife.bsky.social

Employee satisfaction scores for office workers should be taken with a pinch of salt - over 30% of their job satisfaction on any given day will be directly tied to the number of times they had to authenticate into Microsoft products.

Did you know as a grown adult you can just buy yourself a bag of chocolate coins? You don't have to wait to find them in your stocking on Christmas morning?

Hello new followers! Chances are if you're following me you're also interested in data on MPs.

I've recently been looking at the data available on MPs in Wikidata, the free, open knowledge base that supports the Wikimedia sites.

Gravesend has introduced butt bins, complete with promotional duck mascot. The signs pointing to the bins are meant to be duck feet, but they've ended up looking like arrows pointing directly away from the bins.

We should all collectively make more use of the words nibling (niece or nephew) and pibling (uncle or aunt).

"who is your favourite uncle or aunt?"

Too many words.

"who is your favourite pibling?"

Much more efficient.

Great reporting, I like how they scrutinised the data collection practices of the McDonald's survey and looked in the whole at the percentage of pay each generation is spending on different goods and services*.

*Reader, they did not do any of that.
