Thursday Thoughts: You've got all the information you need. You're just bone idle.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Christmas Is Bull Poo!

However, meeting a mate from Uni at the Christmas Markets tonight.

That's one thing I do like about this time of year. Meeting up with people you've not seen for a while and having some excellent food.

Date night last night with the wife.

I put fruit in her red wine.

She was Sangria than ever.

Come to the conclusion that vibe coding to get an MVP built is pointless.

Oh, and React is dogshit

Wasted a few hours last night. Trying to now link it up with what AI created to Supabase, and things have stopped working

Need to understand and learn more about React.

Another day of coding for a client

PHP is bobbins. And it's an old codebase. I'm enjoying using and learning Symfony and Twig, pretty cool stuff

Thought with it being an older stack. I'd have trouble stitching it up with Sharepoint, Exchange and Teams, but it's all gravy.

Just because someone made $1,8259,745 trading crypto (they didn't).

Doesn't mean you should start looking into it.

TLDR: Ignore

Stop With The Shiny Objects. You Won't Use Them And They Cost You Money
99% of the things we see online. That we think is cool. We need to start ignoring. How many "shiny objects" distract you. And end up leading AWAY from your goals.

Tomorrow, "The Automation Blueprint" newsletter, shows you how to generate MORE MONEY from the work you're already doing

How?

If you're busy, things that should be billed for, like a phone call, don't get invoiced.
I've a few AI workflows to fix this

I've had a business idea rattling around my head for months.

Already launched a waitlist, heard crickets, killed it.

1 month ago, I watched Diary of A CEO.
A 2-minute conversation on there made me give the idea "the kiss of life".

But I'm expecting to get beaten up again 🤣

Thought I'd try something fun for the #buildinpublic arena. If you don't have anything fun or an "easter egg" for your customers (CD Baby shipping email)

- Drop a link to your product
- List some values you have as a creator
- I'll come up with a fun automation that triggers for new customers

I thought I'd be able to create recurring revenue by building a SaaS product.

Instead, it's coming from my Agency. People love the fact that I can set up automation AND run it for them. Now I've got a predictable cash flow for the biz.

What ways have you made recurring revenue?

Coding day today.
And a lot of the projects I'm landing for the agency involve coding in one form or another.

When I started 12 months ago. I assumed it would be 90% no-code platforms, workflow software and LLM calling.

But it's a lot more coding than I thought. Which is great.

It's International Mens Day. And I've not seen one post or media outlet about it.
What a surprise.

Look. You need to be brutally offensive, go on the attack.

There are people out there who are looking to "pull your trousers down and violate you and in any way possible"

Don't let them.
Back yourself.

Don't Make Decisions In "Defence Mode". Go On The Offensive
When things aren't going well. Or we are trying to make changes, improvements. We narrow our thinking to find marginal gains. Why not decide to take huge strides instead.

I've been too bothered about my weight and getting it down.
But I'm lifting heavy and often. My weight is going up 🤔

I'll never hit the target

So now I'm tracking my waist and belly size. Have a target to work towards

Make sure you're tracking the right thing.

Admin and set up day for me. So, I'm going to be working out of a coffee shop.

Not very taxing on the old grey matter, but looking forward to ticking stuff off.

Oh, and it's been 2 months since I've gone full-time on the business.

I'm loving every minute

“AI isn’t secure for legal work.”

Choose GDPR-compliant tools with encryption.
Bonus: AI flags risks in documents *better* than manual reviews.

In my newsletter this week. I discuss 3 AI workflows for the legal sector.
