Universally Hated. Im fine with that.
for me it replaced Sublime Text 2, my quick to use, throwaway text editor for file editing here and there, it did not replace phpStorm, my full PHP IDE where I spend 99% of my time.

If only phpStorm could be as fast as Zed....

I wish we could have Duo as a countdown prompt for other items... there is an idea for a spin-off app... an agressive in-you-face-app that reminds you daily to take your pills, take the washing out, feed the fishes... and gamifies or embarrassed you until you do the thing daily..

Ive not had a single issue with using named arguments. The hell fire and chaos that was predicted when the RFC process was ongoing has not come to light - at least not for me. If I ever did hit consequences, like the OP, I would deal with it, after all we are meant to be PHP Professionals right?

There was so much hate for named arguments when it was a RFC, but now, daily, I love this feature and use it, it makes code so much easier to read, even with an IDE that used to put the argument names inline as help.

Every single property on our island (Jersey, Channel Islands) has fibre to the home. 944Mbps down/944Mbps up is the advertised. It literally is life changing if you work all day on the internet.
