My guess is that this is possibly in the Fox Canyon area of Traverse Mountain. The background you see in the KSL photos is the gravel mine at the Point of the Mountain.

I think it was probably that part of the building had the most exposure and the longest runway to get up to ramming speed. The other sides are surrounded by parking lot that would’ve been full of cars. It’s nearly a straight line from the main road to that part of the building.
