Digital images show the leaks again

You can see the fogging at the bottom of the image (so the leak must be at the top of the film). Bellows, film door and little red window seem ok. I wonder if it could be a leak when the shutter opens somehow?

I’m trying to find the source of a light leak in this Agfa Record III folding camera. Bellows are good and the film back seems to fit securely. The negatives have a consistent shaped fogging…

Not sure what happened, but I missed out this picture. Classic castle and camper pic!

Anyway, stunning trip all round and great to see Scotland at its best at a time of year when there are definitely fewer tourists on the roads!

You can see the interior is well setup for small scale camping, although we have managed weeks away with two humans and a Persian cat!

This was in January, so pretty cold! I think it was before I’d installed a diesel heater, which made it challenging! Free camping is relatively easy in the Highlands (in January!) so the trip up North was broken with a camp stop by a chilly loch.

We’ve had our Aussie VW Dormobile Kombi camper for 24yrs, since we lived in Melbourne and shipped her back to Scotland. We’ve done over 60,000 miles together and to give you a flavour I’ll try to put together a thread of pictures from a winter camping trip to the Isle of Skye a couple of years ago!

However, the worst problem is a light leak!
I suspect the bellows, although the film back could also be the problem. I know I can get a replacement bellows for an Isolette but I’m not sure about the Record.

In poorer light it definitely struggles for sharp focus…

These are the better pics from the first film roll in an Agfa Record III. I like the lens quality but definitely works best in bright light!

We bought our other Aussie VW Dormobile camper ‘Olive’ from her owner of 38yrs before the pandemic…
Our trip to Aus to collect her was delayed by about 3yrs but ended up as an awesome 10 week road trip up and down the East coast and Tasmania before loading on a ship to bring her back to Scotland!

Begone, ‘Twitter’. Hello Bluesky!
Already seems like a calmer, more pleasant online world.
Also, loving the preponderance of still photography.

Italian coffee culture is all very well, but the Austro-Hungarian/Bavarian belt do things very nicely too! An espresso or a macchiato benefit from the cool water afterwards (alternatively a healthy version of the German frühstuck)!

Medium format 6x6 pictures from a Spring trip to Croatia this year. 1950s Agfa Isolette III

1950s Agfa Isolette III that belonged to my grandad. Medium format 6x6cm negatives. Slow photography but some great results. I’ll post some.
