Quickly got an email cancelling the rent increase.
A builder is coming (again) tomorrow to look at the issue in the basement.
And we are expecting to hear from the aircon people.

So politely, I pushed back on this increase and suggested we have a meeting with us and a representative from the RAHU renters union of which we are a member to discuss the rent increase and outstanding issues we have lived with despite regular inspections and emails where they were made aware.

There's a massive leak in the basement kitchen and storage area (yes it was an Italians house once), which has a mould issue and damaged out property we had in there... That should be fun with an impending storm this week.
