these families are real, and they are suffering indescribably. did your mother raise you to be a brave and compassionate child? did you grow up to reflect her love to the world around you? please do her proud today and share the stories of mothers in gaza 💚

I think it really depends on the art direction of the game. Some games use it well, but others do it because popular games did it without understanding what it's strengths are and why they chose to use it.

I don't know which is more scuffed this or the Minecraft one that came out a while back.

So starting this next week I'm working on going to sleep within 30 minutes of my planned time of 7:30

I've got quite a few things I've missed last week but one thing that I feel made everything worse was sleep.

Yeah... Thought so. I've already hit some stumbling blocks but that's okay. Life is life and we work through that.

I still have fun things to talk about for this game, but I think I've ramble on enough for one week, I'm thinking about going into a deep dive on another favorite of mine next week. A certain little bug, in a vast forgotten kingdom.

I think a video on a Sonic-inspired indie game nailed it (paraphrased of course) "I can look at a far off piece of the level and think... 'you know, I think I can land on that?' and then actually be able to do it." It's an amazing feeling. (9/10)

They've also taken a lesson from older titles and understand that it's a balance between speed and control for Sonic. Shadow's control is precise while not feeling stiff. Unless in a scripted sequence, it always felt like Shadow was yours to control.

This continues into Shadows high speed movement, as he accelerates he begins to have some inertia, making him play more like modern games, but they've nailed how the two overlap. allowing Shadow to quickly transition from platforming sections to the all out speed sections

now My questions is why. After booting the game up again I think I have a better answer. First of is precision. when moving slow Shadow moves with a level of precision that's closer to the Adventure games then to more recent Sonic titles. (6/10)

Shadow Gens. has some of the best controls I've played in a 3d Sonic game in a while. I played Sonic Gens before diving into Shadow Gens. and Sonic Gens. feels distinctly worse. Not to say bad though, Sonic Gens controls are serviceable, but Shadow Gens just feel good. (5/10)
