Schade! Liebe seine Filme, aber das ist wirklich eine überraschend naive Aussage.

That’s true. But he has not been a team player. Very selfish in too many situations.

Also Republicans will surely sell this as a win, likely successfully. They’ll say they saved the country and ended the shutdown 🙄

I know all of this. But I learned tonight that there is no one who will save and protect us from Republican madness and cruelty.

I used to say what you say. I now see it as a weak excuse. It’s heartbreaking. We need the Ds to stand up for us because the Rs won’t. Rs don’t care about people who are not rich or belong to a minority. We know that. My only hope were the Ds. The lasting consequences of this vote are catastrophic.

It doesn’t matter. The Democratic brand as a whole is so severely damaged after tonight that it takes more than removing Schumer from leadership.

I always defended the Democratic Party, against criticism from the left (we need pragmatism) and the right (universal healthcare like in Germany and other European countries leads to better health outcomes at lower costs). No more. I’m done.

I voted for the guy and feel betrayed. This is so shortsighted. Why do democrats cave every damn time? No dollars or support for them until they protect us again. What a disgrace!

BBC overselling what she said 🙄 … which is not at all different from how she answered this question in recent weeks. I once wanted to become a journalist. I am so glad I didn’t. This need to produce clickbait would kill me.

Every time I see your posts tagging Tapper I am reminded of how the entire mainstream media let us down. I think the profession of journalism is in a real crisis and I wonder what kind of educational reforms are needed to fix it.

It’s remarkable that this person won not only one but three Pulitzer Prizes 😲 🤷🏻‍♀️

This emphasis on research that promises to have the potential of quick monetization will prevent human knowledge from growing in unexpected ways. I fear most won’t care because they won’t know what the next generations will be missing out on.

NSF provided the space for doing basic science, space for exploration w/o guaranteed outcomes. They are trying to turn it into an applied-sciences-only mill in the hopes of faster pay-off.

It’s difficult to put into words how infuriating this is!
