It’s getting more and more mandatory to have new games on an SSD instead of a hard drive, because of the greatly increased sizes of games.
This also heavily impacts loading times WHILE playing.

The budget PC can’t really get away with just a hard drive anymore when it comes to games.

Preloading downloads an encrypted/packed version of the game to prevent leaks/cracking, then afterwards when the game releases the game still has to be decrypted/unpacked to make it accessible.
This is a lot of work for your disk and the speed will highly depend on your drive hardware.

Way too many gbs for a hard drive😭 I feel you
