No worries! The only reason I was alert to it was that I saw a post with the same image yesterday and kinda wanted it to be true, so I sleuthed around …but only saw it repeated in fishy places.

Also, the source (ifeg dot info) seems to traffic solely in “articles” that take Facebook/Insta posts reformatting them look like news articles — likely AI slop.

I feel like Sweden is imagined as this magical ecological and progressive wonderland, such that there claims circulating about “how things are”there that “feel truthy” according to that imaginary but aren’t backed up with evidence of widespread practice.

I’ve seen this viral Facebook post with various AI illustrations too, but I can’t find any actual reporting validating it. FWIW, my husband is a Swede and I haven’t seen or heard of this employed as a practice when we’ve travelled to see Swedish family.
