The inmates threatened him that if he won't grow his hair long, they'll beat him up. Helbram heed their plea and avoided conflict but everything come to an end when he had enough. Helbram recently lost his mom and lil bro, and hearing the inmates makes fun of his love ones, he snapped.

Helbram looks alike that of a woman. The reason for that is the cell inmates makes fun of him for being timid and shy and quite young to be a prisoner without knowing what crime he did. So, they took advantage of him and dyed his hair blonde.
