Thanks! I created a custom style and also changed the atmosphere settings to get the sunset look. Used the style for my web map then just tweaked the setSnow() parameters 😊

I do because of my display type (support.apple.com/guide/mac-he...) :/ I don’t have this desaturation problem with any other graphics editing softwares and even Blender so personally I think it’s a qGIS issue. I will try to troubleshoot with someone else’s computer. Thanks for your suggestion!
Customize the calibration using the Pro Display Calibrator
On your Mac, choose one of the options in the Pro Display Calibrator to recalibrate supported displays.

Unfortunately I don’t have a spectroradiometer to calibrate my MacBook screen. The exports are PNG/PDF with 300 DPI.

Another recent example. Left: in qGIS layout view; Right: PDF export viewed in Adobe Acrobat. I tried reducing DPI and exporting as TIF/PNG/PDF, changing project properties color mode to CMYK and still not resolved. #gischat

Yes. But in that case shouldn’t the export still look the same on my computer screen? The problem I’m having now is it looks diff after export when viewed on the same screen. I use a Mac without external monitors.

Lava was going a bit crazy in the first one. Here’s a more toned-down version w/ lava bombs and cool smoke. 💨
