My favorite new to me movies. Probably my favorite favorite was Tenebre. Alien Private Eye and Dracula's Angel are "bad" movies, but we're incredibly enjoyable.

More old GW green skin minis. They're the best. Also my first time free handing fire. #miniatures #bloodbowl

A boon of an abstracted thing like a cube is if you're engaged, the context of the game/story can build that cube into whatever it needs to be. A grotesque monster, a voting bloc, a monument to heaven, a rusty space ship, an envoy, a juggalo, an avatar of yourself or a friend exactly as you dream.

A big ol' dragon model is always a big ol' dragon. It's got sharp teeth, and horns, and claws, and that's canonical. Just look at it! It's purple ya goof! It represents itself exactly. And that's rad!

A cube though? It can be any sort of dragon/person/idea/symbol of progress you want it to be...

The practicality and visual clarity of cubes is unmatched. They don't get knocked over, they don't have a "correct" side, they don't need special storage to hold them. They have a billion color and size options. They rule! But they also have immersion and storytelling advantages over minis...

I love cubes! I often prefer cubes in my games over minis. I've added cubes to games where there weren't any, like War of the Ring or Cosmic Encounter. People who have played the former know how much of a pain in the butt the minis are, so I replaced them with cubes (except the characters)...

I've been into the miniatures side of the gaming hobby in recent years. Painting is fun! Kingdom Death Monster is the most expensive game in my collection, and I only see myself getting more into it as new minis come out. I even bought an airbrush!

Wood cubes, though... (thread)

I played String Railway years and years ago, and I'm excited to own a copy. New printing looks good!

I am rearranging my office and set my monitors up like a hacker from the 1990s would.

The neat thing about my fridge/freezer is that it has an ice maker, and to use the ice maker naturally you need to turn off the ice off button until you decide that there's enough ice in the icecube tray at which point you need to turn on the ice off button.

Finally completed my Eon Products collection, expansions and all. Now to look for some vintage fan expansions to Cosmic, as well as the zines they did.
