List of possible solutions, little steps forward and syntheses
Isn't it all a calculation? The harm is big enough to be felt till the elections in 26 anyway? No extra harm needed.. The GOP - it is their measures - is likely to be out of power for at least a decade and the constitution is likely to be amended to make a repeat of this all impossible, aren't they?

The party is full of hubris, isn't it? The UK needs to become more democratic, more representative, as part of the many post-neoliberal changes necessary. Efficiency won't be lost, power probably shared but should that be considered a problem?

Never forget that Mr Trump is Barack Obama's immediate successor. What I want to say is that the USA 2 party system (there is only 1 "alternative"), read also as the 2 parties each, is for sure in part to blame for the presentday situation. Some institutional rethinking is needed, also economywise.

I read this as treason.
And anyway he doesn't have the mandate.
The nth event in a line of events.

Because they help a traitor? I, from my side, think that every politician not caring for all of the population isn't to be seen as a professional politician. There are Democrats then too that are full of themselves and of money and oligopoly and rich trickle down people.

With this commercialised prison system and the militarised police and the racism and classism visible for all, the problem is older than this year.

I read the NYT title as more balanced, more informative, as the joke here above mentioned. And I'm not in favour of Mr Trump.

I think this is a political thing to do, on all sides. But it shows weakness.
