First of probably many posts for #showmeyourknits wips week! This is my at-work wip, the Dustwoven Shawl by @woolandwyrd.com from @badsheepyarn.bsky.social Advent 2025. I love the colors so much, and I’m only a third of the way through!
Seed stitch shawl in white, cream/yellow, pinks, purples, and blues. It will use 24 mini skeins total in a fade.

Finished in time for it to be warm all week this week, but here is my first finished project of 2026 for #showmeyourknits firsts! 🧶 I love the colors, makes me feel bright and cheerful!

I am also wearing the river path shawl by wool&wyrd in a multicolored yarn that is mostly pink, blue, purple, and white with yellow accents and navy blue stripes.

Bright side: I decided to add another color 😂 I’m going to make an even bigger and better shawl! Here’s the start of it in the other color, I’ll stripe/fade to the blue eventually 🧶 third try (or pattern choice) is the charm!

Light is poor but here is my horror story for #showmeyourknits 🧶 first time knitting with 100% silk and I got through chart 3 of 8 in a very complex lace shawl. My count was off 😭 tinked back, couldn’t fix it, frogged and started a new pattern but I don’t like it. Frogged again. Next time: lifelines

I like the stitch that is as follows and just made a basic beanie with it: 1. Knit 1, purl 1 across 2. Purl 3. Knit 1, purl 1 across 4. Knit An off-white beanie with multi-colored accents throughout. The pattern is the Arbor beanie, one of my favorites I’ve ever made! It ended up being pretty simple using mosaic techniques rather than stranded. A cabled baby beanie in white, blue, gray, and black multicolored. Yarn is Arcane Fiber Works for this one. Again no pattern, just a cable that I like and turned into a beanie. I think that I originally came across it in a different style hat pattern a very long time ago but I can’t remember the name 😅 Musselburgh beanie in green and red. I need to clean up the finish on the inside half but I’ll get to that eventually.

Here’s a picture of what I do, I just pull part of the cable out to make a smaller loop, then knit to that part and pull again. I find it smoother than double pointed needles but everyone has a method that works best for them. So just trial and error until you find what works!

Beach daydreams lace half circular shawl in colorway water. Fiber is silk! Xyris tee in colorway Mattise, a rainbow of colors in a heavily variegated yarn. Beginning of capture a cozy moment cardigan. Using variegated purple and black yarns held together. This is my first attempt at brioche. Wildspun wrap in multiple colors from sewrella yarn. The pattern originally calls for hand spun, I’ve substituted stripes every two rows for a similar vibe.

Bright blue lace wip - pattern is be my tulip top Start of wildspun wrap pattern. Blue and pink stripes that will eventually turn into a whole rainbow. Redo of Staghorn cable coat in navy blue yarn. Staghorn cable coat that I am remaking! This one is almost 15 years old and starting to wear out since I made it in acrylic. Using wool this time around so it’ll have even better longevity!

Multi colored lace and stockinette tee, pattern is Xyris. Almost to the split for armholes! Beginning of wildspun wrap for a make a long with Sewrella yarn. Pink and blue stripes, will eventually be a whole rainbow of colors. Staghorn coat in a navy-ish blue, the back and part of the front are pictured. I love how easy this pattern is to pick up, hard to imagine that I first made this pattern almost 15 years ago!
