I absolutely wouldn't have expected a 4K capture card to have really bad 1080p capture.

It's so bad. I regret updating my 8GB laptop to Windows 11 a few years ago. Everything got slow and slower over time. Even just pulling up the volume controls has unreasonable delay.

I was curious to see how the prices of Panther Lake devices stack up against the current Strix Halo devices since those weren't particularly cheap and seemed to be configured for a different use case. But prices are also all over the place these days.

They kinda do. Or else they wouldn't be forcing it everywhere. But there's also a noticeable fanbase (as misguided as they are).
You have to assume it's more a huge feeling of FOMO than anything else. Tech companies live in eternal regret not being Apple when smartphones took off.

I was about to mention that one. That was good for around its time but I haven't gotten around to rewatching it.

Plus it had Richard Armitage in it. How could you go wrong?

APNG has already been supported by all major browsers for years. Nothing would change about its support whether they adopted PNG 3.0 or not. According to the updated spec, it's the same format.

Its frame delays in 1/100 seconds increments is weird even in the context of what we knew 20 years ago. It can't properly encode something that's 30 fps or 60 fps.

It's annoying that many platforms don't properly support it or its alternatives. If they're going to convert them anyway.. let us do it

How much does RAM cost?

That may be a fair thought, but "age verification" and "content categorizer and filter" are very different things. Not to mention "protect the children" is likely not the point of any of either of them.

Let me make myself very clear.
