I would like to say this surprises me but after having tried some of the 2014 Adventure Paths, this shocks me none at all.

It's a very casual game. There's some roleplay involved here and there for the purposes of information gathering. I'm running Castles & Crusades, so combat tends to be quick. I used Owlbear for battlemaps. And we hand wave a lot of stuff like people arriving late or leaving early to keep it moving.

It's whoever shows up but there has become a core group that shows up week after week. During the first iteration of this a few years back, that core group grew to nine people who were there almost every week. It was extremely rare that we had less than seven. And one week, I took 14 players.
