Same. These stories that meant so much to me and are part of so many good memories now leave me so joyless.

My wagon has been hitched to Douglas Adams for years and I just hope very much that he never did anything that needs an expose 🤞

I've been looking forward to seeing that movie, I love the story of Gef! It's so disappointing that it's sullied by his involvement ☹️

I picked up GO as a Gaiman fan who had never read Terry Pratchett and it was still obvious to me that Gaiman's contributions were minor. I didn't realize he was helping himself to Sir Terry's legacy like this. Thanks for sharing your insights.

Not only that, but they were all considered prominent feminists publicly while enabling their husbands' abuses behind closed doors. Adding that fact makes what all of them did even more sickening.

I get that. But maybe this can also be part of why you want to be a writer- not only to give people stories, but to be an author who people can safely look up to and who will responsible with any power you are granted. I hope you can heal and that you decide not to give up

It sounds like she said "I forgave my r*pists so you should too" when what she meant was "Everyone should forgive Neil". Either way, her selfishness is deafening.

I haven't seen the show, but I know what you mean. I've always contrasted the way Neil Gaiman writes sex and violence with the way Clive Barker does. Gaiman's sex scenes and violence so often feel pointless while Barker's always feel earned to me, even if some of them are deeply disturbing.
