"On home soil" could mean missile or drone attack it doesn't necessarily mean boots on UK soil. The F35A has a longer range and more capacity for ordnance that could protect UK skies. It is capable of carrying nuclear weapons, which doesn't necessarily mean it will, but it's an added deterrence

EU isn't perfect but it also shouldn't be our adversary. We are looking at another round of austerity imposed on the population.

Joining the customs union isnt a betrayal of brexit its common sense if we want to see growth. The UK is in decline right now surely you can see that

So you would agree that from a manufacturing point of view selling a product that conforms to set standards would be a benefit rather than a hindrance to businesses when trading within the EU? Why would that have been a bad thing for the UK while being a member
March 24, 2025 at 11:26 AM
The standards are there for conformity to ensure that the same product sold in Paris would be equal to that sold in Berlin. It protects the EU market from being flooded with inferior possibly dangerous goods.

They are standards which the UK helped form before we left the EU. We never lost control

There would be no custom duties that's the point of a customs union. Flow of goods between trading partners without the delays and red tape that brexit brought would help to grow the UK economy.

Don't worry though it'll never happen makes more sense to plunder the pockets of the worst off in the UK

They won the game and that in itself is a fucking disgrace. We have been really poor the last couple of derby's and Brendan had learned nothing.

Russia has already deployed chemical and nuclear warfare in the UK resulting in the death of a UK citizen.

Russia doesn't believe in international law there is a strong belief that they have already meddled in referendums and western elections. They dont need to drop bombs

It's got everything to do with the UK. You don't appease a dictator. A lesson that Neville Chamberlain learned.

Putin's imperial ambitions threaten the security of Europe and the uk. Arse licking to Putin's man in the Whitehouse in the hope of a trade deal isn't in the national interest

Unfortunately, the way I see it is that we in Europe don't have a choice. If Russia succeeds in Ukraine, then there is nothing stopping Putin invading the balkin countries.

I would no longer trust the US as a Nato partner. Never in my lifetime would I see the US as a Russian ally
