We’re Pete and Matt, and we podcast pop culture like Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and Marvel’s What If..?
Uh, you okay, @netflix.com? I just want to finish last night’s #RAW.

What an algorithm!

OH. It’s called #TheElectricState. I was reminded of this when IG gave me a Marvel video that marginally mentioned why the Russos were doing press.

To be fair, I was in the third row of the NYCC panel for the movie, saw the Russos, Brown, and Pratt in person with robots… and I can’t remember the name of the movie.

But they all seemed nice and I’ll watch it on day one. Well, weekend one.

But it’s weird it’s getting so little marketing.

TrekMovie’s coverage of #Section31 at #NYCC noted the film was locked at just under two hours.

We got a 90 minute movie.

I wonder what was cut—after picture lock.
I wonder if it would have made it better.
I wonder if it made it worse.

I suppose our individual viewing experiences of #Section31 can only be made worse by the reviews… though kudos to the headline writer for the Times.

Look for next week’s Paramount spin to be “brilliant move to limit this story to a movie that was vastly less expensive than a season of television!”

Our #StarTrek #LowerDecks podcast takes a fond look back at five seasons of heartfelt characters and hilarious situations--but we open our podcast with nothing but praise for series creator and showrunner @mikemcmahan.bsky.social!

Wow, I can’t believe 😉 @jamesgunn.bsky.social “politicized” the source material about Krypton’s leadership ignoring a climate change scientist, leading to an immigrant refugee child raised by quintessentially American parents, resulting in a college-educated journalist with a moral center.

I cannot wait
for some folks to decry @jamesgunn.bsky.social’s #Superman as woke…

because Clark Kent is an
immigrant
refugee
college-educated
journalist

like he’s always been.

Sony may be reassessing whether it wants to be in the Spidey and Friends business.
