To be Average Scares the Hell out of Me.
In Australia,my 21 yr old type 1 diabetic child gets her cgms and her pump for free. Her insulin is $6.70 for 6 boxes of 5 pens/vials (that's the total price, not individual), her needles are free, and 100 testing strips for glucose cost $1.75. Pump kits are $12 for 10 sets.
Specialists cost $0.

Or even just that they can't use Apple or Microsoft products anymore. All the anti virus programs get disabled/die. Banks crash because they can't talk to each other, the stock exchange has to go back to pen and paper.

Did anyone actually think this through? Upset nerds/geeks and reap the whirlwind

Some things are extremely beneficial at low doses, and toxic at higher ones. Strychnine is one. Same with digitalis- great for heart issues until you take too much!

As a kid there were 2 oils in our lives, castor and vegetable.

Then came olive oil but only for Italian food originally.

Then the individual seed oils such as canola, peanut, sesame etc.

Oh and fish oil.

My kitchen has olive, peanut and vegetable or canola because I like the flavours.

Imagine the hit to the US tax base if Silicone valley, home to gamers and programmers alike, went offshore to say Canada, Australia or Japan.
We are talking billions of dollars in revenue plus lawsuits on restriction of trade.
Do you want to upset them? Honestly? The peeps who design the security?

Microsoft is not going to like that. Take a look at the games for the Xbox on their store.
Is attacking the people who can pretty much hack into everything and anything, wise?
Watch the 4th Die Hard movie for an example of pissed computer nerds.

Only applies to the plebs. Those on power will do as they please unfettered by laws or morals

I showed the episode The Key to some friends of my kids who were in their mid 20s. They were in hysterics by the end and wanted more.

I worked in state and federal government departments here in Australia over the years and it is just as true to life here as in the UK!

I am old enough to remember when this show first came out. Waiting for each new episode to arrive and then the continuation of Yes, Prime Minister.
I also have the books which are hysterical as the footnotes and included ephemera are just as funny.
