the 90s parents let us out all day every day, trusting we’d be safe and know when to come home. i struggle to let my teen out by himself for more than 15 minutes and have to fight the urge to call him.

people who can sing are not going to karaoke to “show off”. they’re going to get drunk, sing and have fun just like you. it’s not their fault they sing on key. and they’re certainly not judging you for singing anyway you want to. ❤️
I learned recently that people apparently go to karaoke to showoff. I definitely do NOT, I go to get drunk and sing offkey and watch other people do the same 🤡. Judgement free zone, unless you're the gal that insisted on singing the entirety of Total Eclipse of the Heart.

one of the best things i ever did was close that app, though i tried to stay a few times over the years.

We've never seen what it's like for a platform the scale of Facebook to go into full-on decline and eventual demise, but we are starting to, and it's not pretty.

came to bluesky because twitter (never calling it X) was so negative, mean and echo chambery, just to find everyone feels the same here and they’re talking about leaving too.
