No one should be surprised by scare tactics (lies) like these. So its great to see them exposed. If assets aren't redistributed then consumers (the majority of us) will only be able to spend on essentials. This will lead to an economic downturn.

The purpose of a wealth tax is obviously to bring in large amounts of extra tax, but if done well, it should start a process that unproductive assets owned by the richest become productive again. Especially with land and property as they need to sell these to raise the tax due
