So after some weirdness with Arduino IDE going after backup library files instead of the updated one: great success!
AI built the code around a library that was written for Arduino ESP32 Core 2.x, and never updated for Core 3.0. I'm trying to get AI to update the library. Could I do this manually? Sure. But we're experimenting.
