Andrew Ng is a great promotor of this approach and I'd think it's mainstream now. Maybe it's not discussed because everybody just do it with all it's drawbacks?

What will be AGI's influence on these non-outstanding people? This is the question I ponder and would love to hear your thoughts on.

The issue is that these people are outliers on multiple dimensions, including luck. By definition, the vast majority of people are not like that. I don't subscribe to the popular belief that "everybody has a talent." Most people (myself included) are not outstanding in any particular dimension.

Rick Rubin was presented as an example of someone whose job likely won't be automated. I 100% agree with that. IMO, people will continue to attend future Taylor Swift concerts and watch future Magnus Carlsen (<🤖) play chess. Entrepreneurs will make fortunes and politicians will seek power.
