I've no regrets on how the meta has developed, because that's just how meta can be when pushed to the limits. Not like ADV LC will be a carbon copy of DPP LC w/o sitrus, as ADV LC has many unique traits, mechanically and mons selection that's so awesome <333

Imo, I'll try to stay in the tier even if Sitrus gets banned or not. However, I'll admit that removing Sitrus will affect my interest in the tier, as I loved how it could be simultaneously bulky and frail at any point. If I like the new meta, awesome. If not, well idk tbh. I love the community

So is it finally time to suspect/ban Sitrus Berry once and for all? It's hard because Sitrus Berry doesn't feel inherently unhealthy, but how it has been pushed has made the tier more difficult to be appealing. It's down to subjectiveness, but people have very mixed thoughts on the tier atm.

Banning Substitute would certainly answer lot of the problems, but just banning that move just feels absurd, especially we banned t-wave.

Thief, Toxic or any of that is not an option as they've healthy aspects for the tier.

While the Sitrus + Thief mini game is something I personally enjoy, that move with Substitute is not appealing for both spectators and players. And it's not any easy/simple solution to answer it.

Substitute feels like it has been basically solved on how it's used on ADV LC, and IMO it's not really a positive thing, esp with Toxic/Thief or both moves combined as well. That move alone limits switch-in reactions and has a very narrowminded counterplay.

And as more I've gotten time to develop the tier, the more I'm leaning into Diglett's ban because Arena Trap has created more uninteractive and restrictive rules to the tier.

What's annoying with this aspect is that some mons feel overtuned because Diglett's existence makes its checks hard to pull out w/o Trapinch. Examples are Wailmer's Water Spout and Sun Chlorophyll, and water mons or fire mons being trapped by Diglett.
