let's hold hands and skank on the bloated, decaying corpse of capitalism.
Still astounds me how quickly we moved from “websites are spicy text docs that will render on a potato in seconds” to “websites are 500 MB javascript programs that lock up your browser with attempts to auto-populate your town name if you’re not using the exact input modality the website expects” 🙁

So we have “abso-fucking-lutely”, but can the tmesis happen at other junctures?

“ab-fucking-solutely” has a nice finality to it, and “”absolu-fucking-ly” feels satisfyingly flippant.

For another common word, “fanta-fucking-stic” seems somehow more vulgar than “fan-fucking-tastic”.

Masks are under serious threat at being banned widely due to politicization. This would be a public health disaster. If you are only wearing a mask at protests, please consider also wearing them elsewhere. The more people mask, the more we normalize masks and protect them against bans.

Sea vertebrates before the water-to-land transition oscillate horizontally to move.

Sea vertebrates from after the water-to-land transition oscillate vertically to move.

Mermaids are either mammals (explains the boobs), or a convergent evolution of vertical oscillators

Gödel's Unprioritizable Backlog Theorem

The only backlogs that are prioritizable are those which contain a task to prioritize the backlog (which will never be picked up without first assigning a task priority)

Seeing a lot of new leftists talk about analysis of material conditions (yay!) while ignoring systemic issues like racism & ableism (ugh!)

Just shouting it into the void real quick: if your material analysis doesn't actively include systems of power beyond class, it actively harms the cause!

As a software engineer I’ve always struggled with imposter syndrome.

The lingering and escalating effects of repeat SARS-2/COVID infections in my peers are getting noticeable enough that my imposter syndrome doesn’t have room to rear its head.

I wish people would look out for themselves more.
