Got some stuff back from the glaze kiln. The first three are a new shape I have been experimenting with. These guys are all speckled buff clay with oribe glaze, into which I poured a dash of pink glaze. The tin in the pink made for a really glossy dark green accent.

I like making items that push against the edge of that shared context. It's still a vase if it has a hole in it? The hole is kind of in conversation with the rest of the case, hopefully evoking a sense of unease as expectations are undercut or people reminded of something else.

Some new #pottery. The mug is my new tea mug at work. The vase was a collab with C, who painted the leaf around the top. I did the green oxide spatter. I'm getting better at throwing porcelain.

Pottery mainly. I have to pay very close attention to what my body is doing while throwing the pots, and try to be creative when planning and decorating.
