Information discovered after the storming of the STASI headquarter (1990) was amazing and scary. I am sure only half of it is known, especially since it is said that before that, STASI documents made it to Russia. That's the saying, but I have no way of verifying that.

Might not be a documentary, but it gets the point across how the STASI worked and the effect it had on the daily life of people not agreeing with GDR (East German) leadership.

Why should it be either one or the other. When I am sitting on the couch, I prefer a classic book, but when I am on a long distance drive I use an audio-book and on a flight I use an e-book reader/pad. Why limit the choices we have as long as we gain knowledge/pleasure from "reading".

When you have lived in Germany for some time and accustomed to these laws, the showing of all these Nazi symbols in the US is strange and disturbing.

It is not the showing of the event, the showing of Nazi-Symbols, such as the Hitler salute or the swastika are forbitten by law. No buts and ifs about it. Just like car license plates cannot have the letter combination "SS" or other letter combinations associated with Nazi ideology in them.
