Shakespeare's words or not Shakespeare's words...that is the question? Great introduction to the 'Bard of Avon' this morning in the Panda Class, looking at a variety of vocabulary either created by Shakespeare or not.

🐨Koalas have been writing and performing their own rhyming couplets for a class version of 'Song of the Witches: Double, double toil and trouble' Lots of creative ideas shared, written and performed. Great work everyone. 🐨

🐝Bumblebees have been making lots of new friends at nursery and learning about the zones of regulation. The children have been talking about their feelings and practising ways to feel calm.

Blood smoothies on the menu in the Panda's class this afternoon. We were looking at all the components that make up the blood, with different foods representing: red and white blood cells, platelets and plasma. Fantastic learning and understanding today. 🐼

The Panda Class were having a lovely time this afternoon looking at a pig's heart. They got to hold one, see it dissected, along with looking for specific features similar to the human heart.

🐨Koalas have been learning all about the circulation system in our science lessons, today we looked at a pig’s heart to learn about the parts and functions of the heart. 🐨

Bumblebees and Ducklings enjoyed a lovely storytelling session, involving art and music. The author, James Mayhew, told the story and drew the pictures whilst Caroline played the violin. The children participated well and also created their own piece of art! Thank you to James and Caroline.

🐨Koalas Class enjoyed their English experience day yesterday - we were using our senses to describe sweets, chocolate and biscuits to help us with our writing. Our favourite part was tasting them all! Some great vocabulary was shared such as: scrumptious, spicy, citrusy, fruity and zingy! 🐨

Year 2 went on a lovely local walk this morning to see which shops are on our local high street. They were an absolute credit to the school.
