🩷The morning glory flower🩷
It symbolizes affection, love and the beauty of the dawn. Associated with a renewed sense of hope.
Pink is for love and gratitude.

An afternoon walk around my yard. An early morning moon. Grounding is good for my mind and body. Relaxing me.

Getting back to my sewing machine today! Hopefully spending more time creating and playing with fabric. Writing emails, calling Congress to let them know how I feel!✊🏻🩷

These trilliums planted 40 years ago by my porch. They were a gift from my husband's grandma. Her son, his uncle, went up a hill by their home and dug them up as a gift to her in the 1950s. They are known for being fragile, yet every year for 65+ years they bloom each spring. 💚🤍💛

Spring Break goes by so fast! We sure enjoy hanging out with our grandkids 🥰

Sleepovers, walks in the State Park, puzzles, and a creative day upcycling! (There are no pictures of the upcyling yet.)

Stitching for the 100 Day Creative Challenge. Finished embellishing the crocheted basket. I love this pattern and the cotton yarn.

Added to my beach collage. Doing one section at a time. I am still not sure how I will finish this.

Wishing you peace and some joy🩷

I remember Dictator Putin invading Ukraine. Watching in horror as a group of women in their 60's making bombs to defend themselves against these terrorists. Trump/Vance what are you distracting us from with this reality TV performance? Putin pop out of a box next?

Today at our state capital in Olympia. There were thousands on the campus. It was uplifting in difficult times. So many people who care deeply about our communities and country. The signs, the gathering and sharing thoughts and concerns.

Resist!

Six pages finished for the #annwoodstitchclub fall stitch book! I tried some new embellishments, beads, paint spatter and clusters of French knots.

Texture, pictures from our walks. Inspiration for stitching, sketching, painting and colors.

Reach out to a friend, someone you love🩷
Create something and pass it on...send a card/note to someone with a message they can carry in their pocket to read over and over as needed. Love wins 🩷

Our walk yesterday. The lake is freezing over. Unusual here. Our lows on 20's and highs in the lower 40's. Not normal here and I am sure it sounds warm to many. Wondering if we'll get snow❄️

A day to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
Everything he stood for, fought for and sacrificed for.

Reading his quotes, thinking about them, sketching, and then stitching them. Continue to work on living them.

My stitching project for this week.

We took a chilly walk at the lake today. With the polar vortex creeping down, we're a warm spot in the PNW. Thankful for that. It's nice having the sun out each day. Stay warm 🌟

Another stitched page. Inspired by our dogwood tree.
A couple of my favorite threads, I love these neutral colors. The variegated is beige, taupe, and gray. I love the soft variation.

Stitching this week has been a challenge. Started an elimination diet, over 40 foods to eliminate and reintroduce
